ISOA informed AAE (Actuarial Association of Europe) about the Italian position concerning "IFRS17 - annual cohort requirement" as arranged by our Life Insurance Committee. This topic has for Italy a particular and significant importance because from the early 80s the Italian life business developed very much thanks to the so called “ Gestioni Separate” (GS), that is “Segregate Funds”, mainly based on the principle of “hystorical cost". The GS often represent a large part of the life business in the insurance companies and the impact of IFRS17 is very significant both for the general point of view and for the cohort point of view.
