The International Actuarial Association (IAA) extends its sincere thanks to the members of the Pandemics Task Force for their dedicated efforts, culminating in the publication of their third paper, “Implications of COVID-19: Data and Modelling a Pandemic released in November 2025.

Under the leadership of Chair Sara Teppema, the 12-member Task Force—representing 10 countries and comprising Ash Bhalerao, Chris Daykin, Dale Hall, Roseanne Harris, Kentaro Katsuno, Chitra Lele, Raquel Marimon, Ibrahim Muhanna, Marc Tardif, Kees Thiers, Stuart Wason and Leza Wells—has delivered valuable insights that raise awareness and highlight the actuarial profession’s capacity to support key stakeholders in managing pandemic-related risks.
