News from member associations

• Together with the AAE, Instituto de Actuarios Españoles (IAE) hosted the ECA 2022 in Madrid, Spain on 2 and 3 June

Around 250 actuaries attended this event with interesting presentations and keynote speeches from Gonzalo García Andrés, Secretary of State for the Economy in Spain, Petra Hielkema, chairperson EIOPA, Santiago Arechaga and Melissa Leitner from SwissRe, and Andreas Märkert, Chair CRO Forum. Feedback showed that 100% of all participants were generally satisfied with the ECA, 95% would visit a future ECA again and 95% were satisfied or very satisfied with our high-level, renowned speakers.  
The recorded presentations will become available on actuview mid of July.

In addition, IAE honored Luis Mª Sáez de Jáuregui, Thomas Béhar and Wilhelm Schneemeier with Honorary Membership during the Spanish evening, as it was the first presential event after the pandemic.
